Osceola Turkey Hunts

The turkey hunter is a very particular sportsman. He is pursuing one of the most difficult birds in our woods, and many chase some difficult self-imposed goals.

To achieve a Grand Slam, a hunter must harvest and register the four most common subspecies of wild turkey, the Eastern, Rio Grande, Merriam's, and Osceola (Florida).

Many experts consider the Osceola as the toughest and most challenging of the four. Add to that that Turkey Season in Florida is five weeks of the year.

My experience tells me that the most successful and consistent turkey hunters will devote a substantial amount of time; (a whole weekend) (a whole week)(or several weekends or weeks) to increase their chances of the encounter. Almost all of them have their own private properties or they buy a hunting package from some of the best Hunting Lodges in the area.

We at Timberlake Preserve are proud to be very private, have fantastic staff, and have great accommodations, terrific guides, and an abundance of birds, among others.

We will customize your experience with us so you can celebrate your Osceola Turkey Harvest.
